JOB PURPOSE:The Bay Manager is responsible for managing all cultivation operations within a cultivation team. Manages plant care operations through the entire plant life cycle. Plans and organizes activities and resources for the cultivation team. Ensures the smooth and cost-efficient flow of cultivation operations.


  • Manages resources and daily operations of cultivation team
  • Monitors and manages cultivation inventory including equipment and raw materials
  • Ensures the compliant and efficient execution of all cultivation tasks including clone care, transplanting, plant feeding, defoliation, topping, flushing, foliar and preventive spraying, waste disposal, crop inspection, and harvest preparation
  • Monitoring and recording environmental factors including humidity, temperature, and nutrient tank levels
  • Monitoring plants for pests, mildew, and mold; modifying pesticide spray schedules as needed
  • Ensures accurate nutrient mixing solutions for plant feeding and data collection
  • Manages water, media, solution sampling and testing processes
  • Ensures accurate daily activity records and operations logs for all activities
  • Ensures clean and sanitized work spaces
  • Evaluates, recommends, develops, and implements approved changes to cultivation processes
  • Ensures all cultivation processes are effective and compliant with applicable SOP’s, policies, or regulations
  • Develops, implements, and maintains SOP’s
  • Leads workforce and performance management including employee onboarding, training, mentoring, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • 2 years of commercial cannabis cultivation experience
  • 1 year of lead, supervisory, or management experience
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
  • Must possess or obtain a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Employee Badge
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess data and make informed decisions
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Basic mathematic and metric measurement knowledge
  • Knowledge of METRC and Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) compliance regulations related to cannabis cultivation
  • Knowledge of cannabis cultivation nutrient requirements, planting mediums, lighting requirements, environmental requirements, soil growing methods, watering, container systems, hydroponics, temperature and humidity requirements, and drip irrigation
  • Knowledge of beneficial and detrimental bacteria, plant diseases, insects, fungi, and related methods to manage cultivation
  • Proficiency using Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office programs including Gmail, Calendar Docs, Slides, Sheets, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint



  • Sitting and/or standing for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, stretch, walk, bend, twist, reach, perform repetitive motions, and carry boxes or items
  • Ability to safely use and store chemicals including pesticides, fungicides, cleaning agents, and nutrient concentrates following manufacturer’s recommendations and/or SOP’s


  • Pay Range: $55,000 to $65,000; actual pay will be determined based on qualifications
  • Bonus Eligible
